The Caribbean Coalition Network of Montreal

We are dedicated to fostering collaboration, unity, and cultural preservation among Caribbean communities in Montréal. It is formed on the CARICOM model with a focus of bringing together the English speaking islands initially.

In August 2023, the Trinidad and Tobago was added to the Coalition.

Our mission is to promote the Caribbean regions' diverse cultural heritage, amplify its people's voices and contributions, and empower individuals through advocacy, education, and social initiatives. By fostering a sense of pride, solidarity, and mutual support, we aim to enhance the social fabric of Montréal and strengthen the bonds within the Caribbean diaspora.

The Montreal Carimas Festival

The Caribbean Coalition Network of Montreal (CCNM) accepted to produce Carimas Montreal as a continuation of its commitment to celebrating and promoting Caribbean culture in the city. The festival serves as a platform to showcase the vibrant traditions, music, dance, food, and artistry of the Caribbean community in Montreal.

By organizing Carimas, CCNM aims to create opportunities for cultural exchange, foster community pride and unity, empower youth, and celebrate the rich diversity that enriches Montreal's cultural landscape. Additionally, Carimas provides a space for people from all backgrounds to come together, learn from one another, and celebrate the shared heritage and contributions of the Caribbean diaspora to Montreal's multicultural fabric.
